For which clinical pictures compression therapy with Pütter bandages is indicated?

Primary varicosis – also known as varicose veins – is among the commonest diseases affecting the superficial venous system of the leg. Varicose veins are veins that have become enlarged and tortuous, easily recognized beneath the skin. This may have been caused by inherited venous valve agenesis; in most cases, however, genetic or age-related loss of elasticity of the venous valves may lead to vessel dilatation and incompetence or insufficiency of the venous valves.
